With the last page, i experimented with drawing the characters with the wacom tablet. It was fun but took me an eternity. So I decided to go back to drawing the characters using good old fashioned mechanical pencil and paper and then scanning them in im going to continue to do the coloring with wacom now (it is indeed nicer than using the mouse) but yes, the series is being drawn in pencil again. It gives that nice oldschool animated movie look thats hard for me to get with digital lines ^^let me know what you think! I hope you enjoy.Bgs and layout by

That lizard, above all things, has the most beautiful coloring I've ever seen xDD and I don't even like lizards.

I love Bloodspill. My favorite characters used to be Swiftkill, Rapier, Bloodspill, Blade, and Riptide, but Blood is swiftly moving to the top of the list.

I like how bright and colorful this page is, as opposed to the previous nighttime ones! And I like how Bloodspill talks, it's sort of amusing but much more believable than having her be like "SWIFTKILL, MY BELOVED SISTER, WHY DOTH THOU NOT TOSS-ETH LIZARDS?"

Nah, Blood would never talk like that (she only gets really into speech when she's describing bloody things). Their speech tends to be more formal when speaking to those in authority, but not between each other in a private setting.

I would draw my comic a lot faster if I knew how to properly color it after I scan it. Do you feel like sharing that with me? Eventhough I don't care much for Bloodspill as a character, I really like how she is potrayed in this page. Swiftkill's head on the 5th panel looks a bit different, but we all draw differently with the tablet. I don't have a habit on commenting your comic, but this page made me. It really shows relationship between the two.

God, Kay, you just made my day! I seriously feel light-headed when I see that you uploaded a new page. xD It's enough to make any crappy day good.
On a side note #1, I adore seeing more of Blood and getting to know more about her. It seems a little weird with the dialogue, though, that she made that speech towards Whitewind when saving Swiftkill, but now she speaks in pretty much noun-verb-subject. But all the same, it's so great to see the subtleties in speech between each character. You really work towards making every inch realistic, don't you?
Also, now I'm really curious. About those "pencil lines", can you sum up what exactly you do to color each page? I just can't imagine pencil lines being so fine and neat. I'd think that those were done with the pen tool, if not with a tablet. What kind of scanner do you use? What's the process you use of making your lineart? Wow.

Beautiful page, and I love their expressions, especially Bloodspill. Swift looks different in panel 5 though...Not bad different, just, different...(If that makes sense - o.0)
As for the switching back to mechanical pencil drawings, I like the idea, as I seem to recall that this story's existence was inspired by good old 2D animation. ^^

Besides teh changed back from the tablet, did yo ustyle change a little? The bridge of Swifts nose looks softer, and both of them seem too have more flexible bodys. Either way though, amazing positions and angles, they do very well and give a lot of fluidity to Bloods movements!!
