Health Update - May 2018Hello friends and followers of BBA,
I am so sorry for my long silence. I see so many kind and supportive messages left for me. I really hope I didn't worry anyone too badly. You are so sweet to care about my wellbeing and for that I thank you with my whole heart.
I have been struggling so very hard to keep my head above water. In such a state of fear and panic, my sole focus has been on survival. I have been unable to come on to DA to post an update, despite the important role that working on this project plays in my life.
As you may have surmised, my condition has drastically worsened since my last update. You may also recall in August 2017 I made a similar journal entry, putting the comic on hiatus while I tended to my severe health crisis. I have a very aggressive disease that I worked hard over the past 2 years to get into a "remission"-like state, so that I could function normally.
All in all, 2018 was a good year. Especially starting in May of 2018, I really star

No, but if she's taking that long and she's also not been posting anything then there's a strong chance that she's in the hospital. But, I don't know 100%.

She's very ill - I'm not sure if she's hospitalized or not but I know she's put the comic on indefinite hiatus until things turn better for her. She posted an update journal on here as well as patreon.

I'm not sure, I've heard a bunch of different things but again its really none of our business. We should probably stop spreading rumors so people can let Kay rest and get back on her feet. I genuinely believe that she's got some good days ahead of her and that she's going to bounce back. It's just patience

I'm sure she'll update us when she's ready. Idk what she got diagnosed with and honestly its none of my business either, but I believe she will eventually bounce back and there are some really good days ahead of her. It's just a matter of when. Not gonna lie, I do miss the comic a lot, but her health comes first so I will gladly wait.

Man, I'm so glad I found this comic again! I used to be super into it, before you started the reboot, but I stopped using dA for years so fell out of touch. I just binged the whole reboot, and DAMN is it good! The artwork is absolutely phenomenal and the story has been amazing so far. Can't wait to see what comes next. Great work!

Ah ok, I mean yeah I agree that Cricket is a bit naive but she is far from stupid (she can build a trap that can catch a Rubicund Dire like Swift and to me that takes a lot of engineering and crafting skills), but my theory behind that is that maybe she lived a rather sheltered life in Inaria because she's the Alpha's daughter and possible heir to the Inarian "throne" since its clearly a Matriarchy. However, she's clearly going through a lot of character development in the past few chapters. Really it seems that she's gotten a little bit more mature since first meeting Swift. She doesn't seem to think she can make friends with anything that moves anymore and is slowly getting a reality check that the world isn't always sunshine and rainbows, and judging from her last page with her facial expression she might be even having regrets on ignoring Swift and helping Blood.
