Once again another fave from me. I really like how the story isn't just about about a wolf pack fighting off some sabres. It takes you into the personal lives of the characters and about them trying to overcome their own problems.
The new shading technique looks great on the characters. It's a bit softer and blends well. I like the different perspectives used also. The backgrounds by ESDA are just stunning. They're so incredibly detailed and the sunset colors are beautiful. Nyx's flat coloring is wonderfully done as well.
By the way, has Rapier split from Whitewind's pack by this time? I just thought it would be interesting to see Rapier's reaction when the Blackbloods turn up, especially if Swiftkill decides to join them.

So sorry for the freakin' long ass wait for a reply from me. I had to take my puppy to Columbus, OH for some doctor appointments since our vet thought he had hip dysplasia. Come to find out he has OCD (not obsessive compulsive disorder, lol) a puppy arthritis in his ankles. Anyway, I was up there for awhile and when I came back I couldn't access my deviations or messages on deviantart. I finally was able to get on today.
As for Rapier splitting from the pack, I know it hasn't been shown yet but ESDA made a comment about how she can't wait to work on Alteron, which will be appearing soon...or something like that. There wouldn't be an Alteron without Rapier so I was just curious.
I feel bad for Swiftkill. It must torment her to know that Rapier now knows how to bring out the Fury in her, Swift's greatest strength and weakness. She must be afraid that Rapier would try to frame her for another crime if she returns.
And Yay! I can't wait to see Katana in action. I've always loved the way you bring your characters to life and can't wait to see her and the rest of the Alteron group participating in the story line. Should be interesting.

... Ya know... even though Raiper set her up and everything... didn't swift kill the pups, blinded by the fury and all but... I mean she was the one who killed them so isn't kinda fair what happened even if she didn't mean to? It's just kinda silly for her to hate whitewind for banishing them for a crime she.. ya know kinda did. Bah just thinking out loud.

Ugh, Fairstep is right. Swifty should just leave her past behind and look out for those who once cared for her... before they betrayed her <_< But that was Rapier's doing, and her followers. T_T. Blood's line about hating children is CLASSIC, and true about me as well xD

basically I have her go into the file and underneath my lineart, she fills the character with a solid color
so that later i can just lock the transparency on the layer, apply the markings and shading and be done with it

Nah, Fairstep is an original character, though the cameo you're thinking of was designed by her creator as Riptide's sister or something (Windchill). Thus, the similarity.

It's probably my high resolution, but it's not ridiculous (1280x1024), and I consistently have trouble reading these. Could you enlarge either the text or the full image when you upload them?

i can make the image dimensions larger yea (the text, no way). Though, I will get people with 800x600 whining at me (i have already been told that I upload files way too large) but yea. I can do that anyway. Since I am anti running-at-800x600

I think enough people have moved on from 800x600 that it's worth planning for higher resolutions as the default. I'd rather scroll around to read than be unable to read at all. Thanks for accommodating!
