This pic took forever! The sketch and line art actually took the longest compared to everything else, for I had to use many reference pictures. It was so hard to get it to look just like him... And it doesn't help when drawing big cats is very difficult. And there are still little mistakes in it.
I was kinda lazy on the background. I wanted to do a realistic one, but it turned out worse then I thought it would. 
Oh well, I tried. 
[Edit] I know the background is horrible, stop commenting.. It's kinda rude to hear a comment like that if you're not at the level of the artist, I think. o.o; Neh, told you I can't do backgrounds. I'd erase it, but I spent too long on it. The grass looks so horrible because my grass tool broke. It doesn't makes it like grass anymore. Stinky. And I've checked all the check marks and everything.

This is such the coolest pic of Simba I've seen on DA so far! It looks really wicked! I love the lineart and the look on Simba's face! The sunshine is great as well, you put a lot of effort into this, looks great!

Very nice work. Awsome job. I like how your digital work comes out. Its awsome. How did you make the diffrent color lines Like on his mane the image lines are dark red to match the mane and on his body they are lighter to match his coat? did you have to manually color the lines in Photoshop?

What are you talking about? The grass is beautiful, mind you. I like the texture you did on the rock, the lighter color makes Simba more of the focus of the picture. I like the tree off in the background for some reason - it makes it seem more African-like than if it were without the tree. The sky is brilliant (nice clouds, they're hard for me, despite what everyone says about 'poofy ness' and stuff) and I like the sun off in the horizon.

This is a very good first attempt.I congratulate you on that. But the muzzle looks a bit rounded and lopsided.And the back legs look like they're too big.Also,the tail shouldn't be going up in a ninety degree angle,it should have a little more curve to it.

The only thing that looks a little of is the far back foot. It looks a tad too long. Otherwise, this is absolutely amazing for drawing Simba for your first time!!! +fav!
