uhm.....i spent around 4 days straight painting this..or more? who knows. That's all i've been doing for the past I dunno how many days, haha, I have no life
.uhh...well, basically I (1) want to paint something Asian (2) am trying to not be afraid of colours
. THis is perhaps the most saturated pic i've made. ehh. I almost cried at the embroideries!!! It's so frustrating!I don't know how many of you are going to say "ooh this is like Louis with an Asian Claudia" etc. etc., well the truth is that I really really like the young girl + grown man motif that is most commonly represented/known by the Claudia+Louis relationship. heh

Oh my! This is amazing! I've always love the vampire chronicles and I must admit this is one of the most beautiful pieces I've ever seen. If you don't mind me saying so, Louis looks a lot like some pictures of Ville Valo I've seen.

The guy looks more realistic, while the girl's eyes are totally disproportionate. Intentional? It's still awesome, though. I love the lamps.

Honestly, the amount of detail that's here . . . and the fact that you're challenging yourself, as your comments suggest . . . of course, it's one thing to learn techniques, and another to make great art.
Which you have done.
I am likely intrigued by this more because it reminds me of my own characters . . . but you put such flavor into it, such emotion. Even without the faces, the scenery speaks. Your sense of color and composition is nice.
Which is something anyone else could have told you, but I had to say thank you myself. Artists like you make my life more beautiful, and I've got to rant about it at least once.

I REALLY loves this!!! I really love the detail of the fabric and how the nice warm colours contrast with the more dull ones (the colour of the wall, the guy's clothes and the couch thing) I'm going to fav!!
