Description
Yea so here's a quick basic tutorial on digital painting. It's not a detailed one though. Sorry, I can't explain it like that :/
Also, I didn't explain it in the tutorial. But I go back in and make a very thin outline.
The brush used for the hair can be located here:

Sorry for spelling errors >< I'm tired ;n;

I'm a bit confused on step 2. So, after you finished laying down the base colors how did you blend in the colors over the lineart and how did you start defining the edges of the dragon? Which colors are use supposed to use?

I merged the layers together then started painting on top of it. Hope that helps!

lmao those glasses.
I can never get my paintings to like this.. (even though I practically paint the same way you do. since these are the usual basics.)
They always end up so messy and chaotic...
WHYYYY Q A Q

I use a bamboo fun for my painting (none of my stuff on DA is really all that recent i've been on a da hiatus) and it works alright, but i find it doesn't have as much control as i would like it to. But if you are just starting out its a good way to learn how a tablet works.

I hear a lot of good things about the intuos tablets. You can find the older ones on ebay for a good price if you are willing to hunt. They may not be as fancy as the newer intuos 4 or 5, whichever is the most recent, but they certainly will get the job done.

Even intros 3 would be more then enough but will have a look or even try the edication site pugh which does have good deals plus fact is a student so that could work nicely
its only trouble in deceding on what helps best as I draw both free hand paint free hand the mouse is killing my hand on very detailed images -x-

yes, a tablet is certainly what you need to paint and draw digitally. I'm looking into a new tablet myself, though my bamboo has done its job, its starting to show that I'm using a cheaper tablet i think.

if you can afford it that one, but if you are on a budget a bamboo is better than nothing.

You probably do some of the best blending in photoshop that i know of. Reason i say this is because most people have switched to SAI becaues it "blends" better and quicker so its really great to see someone can still use photoshop for epic blending |8

I only do that when I have a lot of trouble blending in PS but thats if it takes longer than 20+ minutes LOL I feel like a cheater sometimes doing it xD but eh if you have the programs why not?

ROFL. i actually dont really like sai 8D things take me longer to do in sai but i must agree the blending is a tad easier in sai since the blur tool blends things quite nicely if you're already done some sort of work with getting the colours to blend a bit.
But yeah :'D i've always used photoshop so its always good to see tutorials of people using photoshop to blend nicely. Like that Sandara girl she uses completely photoshop and she blends soooo well! -saved a few of her tutorials-
So yeah ROFL. -thumbs up- always epic shiz when photoshop users produce epic blending without sai help 8D

LOL i only use sai for a handful of my stuff because im just not used to sai, things that take me hardly any time in photoshop take double time in sai, that and im so very dependant on my custom photoshop brushes haha i've only completed two pictures in sai before. Everything else is always being done in photoshop, just because i have the advanced knowledge of how to use photoshop might as well take it further so that i get even better with it. That and photoshop is the preferred and more well known digital colouring program, Sai is fairly unknown in the english arts companies.
D: Sandara has a livestream?!?! link plz?
