Description
In the 3-4 years of making Art dolls I've yet to make a unicorn! Whats up with that!? Also tried out Instamorph and I'm totally a believer now haha. Its super convenient for horns and such, I'll never have to worry about them breaking again!Check out how this little girl was made!

Hi! Your piece has been featured in my Monthly Feature Challenge: EQUINES as an exceptional piece of artisan craftery!
I hope that you'll enjoy any extra attention that it garners for you and that you'll consider participating in the challenge yourself!

Woah! This is an amazing design! You did a great job on the anatomy of the doll. It looks like I'd expect a unicorn to look like. The feathering on the feet is a very nice detail and you did a good job with it.
<-- Because I had to.

Amazing. I don't have a liking for Unicorns but my mom loves them. Do you take commissions?

Thanks so much! I will definitely be looking into commissioning a Unicorn once I get money sorted out. Hopefully I can do it before my mom's birthday (October) and if not, possibly before Christmas. ^-^

If you have a moment, I have a question about the pose-ability with the roving.
I have found with my felt dolls when I pose them the roving tends to slip off the legs. I use an aluminum skeleton, sometimes I add pipe cleaners since it seems to help traction, then I use wool batting or roving to cover before finishing the fur off.
Do you have problems with the roving slipping off the legs or becoming misshapen, at all? How do you avoid this from happening?
Thanks! I would like to improve my doll making skills.

I actually don't use roving. All my art dolls are made with faux fur and then trimmed down

What material do you use to wrap around the wire mesh before you sew the fur on?
