Description
No one ever talks about sleep paralysis,
yet many people experience it.
I awoke from a vivid dream,
I couldn’t remember what had just happened in the story my mind had created.
The lights, purple and loud.
My homes lights aren’t purple.
Yet it seemed so normal, and familiar.
A dark figure,
stood.
A man.
Perhaps a shadow?
A strange white rectangle across his face, fully opaque.
6 foot.
Stood, loitered, waited.
What was he waiting for?
I just sat.
I couldn’t move, a paralysis of sorts.
All I did, was watch the man stand.
And stand.
Until he walked down my stairs, and left.
Silently.

I had met my sleep paralysis demon.
