Ignis the Kantonian Vulpix and Alice the human-turned-Alolan Vulpix (shiny).

Alice was found unconscious at the base of an active volcano by the Kantonian Vulpix tribe that lived there. The fire types were puzzled, as the ice type Vulpix lived on the far end of the world. By no means should one be here. Nevertheless, they took her in.

Her eventual partner is Ignus, only son of the elder Ninetails. He has a lot to live up to, and because of this Ignus has always had a strong drive to search for his own purpose. When Alice arrived, he was immediately captivated by her.

After a while, the volcano erupted. Smoke spilled into the sky and lava flowed. The fire types would be fine. They were evolved specifically for this type of environment. But the ice type wasn't. While she was able to evade the lava, she grew sick from the smoke. As much as she didn't want to, she had to leave. Ignus, not wanting to be apart from her, left his family and friends behind.
