I've been slowly working on this dude the past 5 or so days. I've decided to pair this guy with my sona. Move over Kovu, there's a hotter lion now !
Mrembo is the younger brother of the crown prince. Their mother is the Empress. Mrembo and his brother often fought as cubs, resulting in the older brother ripping one of Mrembo's ears. Mrembo's mother betroths him to Avana as a favor for her dad. He is one of the Empress's most trusted soldiers. Mrembo's brother is also betrothed - but to a princess from an ally kingdom.
Mrembo didn't want to meet Avana at first. He was at that age where all boys think girls have cooties. With no other choice, Mrembo started playing with Avana and soon the two became inseparable friends. They fell in deep love in their teens. But a war started, and Mrembo and his brother were forced to join the fray. Years later he returns, and Avana doesn't think he could still love her. She is very happy though when he proclaims his love for her.
There is so much more but I might have to just make it into a comic
