'The Empire' Universe Lore Bit #2:Uncivilized lionesses usually den a long ways away from their pride. Various predators would love to have such an easy meal, so mothers usually wait until their cubs are old enough to run away from danger before they all make the long trek to their pride. Most lionesses will wait until their cubs wean at 8 weeks to move them, although some lionesses will bring their cubs back home in as little as 4 weeks (the age of Avana here).
