Haha yeah, Shrinking mushrooms aren't really that useful in my opinion, except for getting in those specifically tailored warp tubes.

Looks like they didn't pay close attention to the size and color of the mushroom. That's one of the problems with the mini mushroom also, you get smaller than the state you start out with, unless you can find a super mushroom or a mega mushroom.
