As Skyler said, between too hungry (even starving to death) or eat the first thing that could calm you (or kill you) could be reasonable :U

If you were lost in the woods and starving to death someone would make the same mistake.
I dont see Riley doing this though but it was part of the lady luck event so I cant complain
