Flame Princess looked at his stub of an arm, at the flower sprouting at the end of it, and couldn't help but feel a mixture of devastation, anger, confusion, and grief. Never before had she wanted to hold him so badly, to comfort him and soothe him. Flame Princess wasn't familiar with acts of affection (how could she be?), but she knew that was what she should do--

if she had the right to anymore.

And suddenly, she was left feeling powerless, helpless, unable to help him at all. She was useless. She couldn't help fix his arm, didn't know how to, wasn't smart enough, wasn't resourceful enough. She couldn't help him feel better, because she realised that she was a source of pain for him ever since they're shaky break-up--perhaps even before, from the very beginning.

So what could she do?

What was she to him now?

Was there anything she could do... to ease his pain?
At all?

What kind of friend was she, if she couldn't even make him smile anymore?

Flinn is my Adventure Time OTP okay, so I just had to imagine how FP would react when she saw Finn's arm or lack there-of. And I couldn't-- hisss-- that flowerrr

It just automatically makes me associate Finn with "grass/plants", and therefore he's even MORE vulnerable to fire than before. I just imagine FP feeling powerless because being what she is-- her fundamental being-- would be nothing but a source of pain to him; she was a threat, even though she didn't want to be.

If they were together still, she could have still made him smile/laugh. But now that they're not, and Finn is still in love with her, she wouldn't even be able to do that either.

I really hope in season 6 that they'll get back together. What Finn did to FP was wrong, yes, but he was still a growing boy who was ignorant of all things related to love. He was immature, but could you really blame him? He was confused and he blundered and heck, everyone goes through that. Everyone makes mistakes.

I hope FP will realise that even the "hero" isn't perfect, and that despite his mistakes, he still truly loves her. I like to think that FP loves Finn too-- even though she hasn't exactly been showing it lately-- and if she did, then she'd give him a second chance. I hope she realises that he's worth it dlkjfkewjalja

I can't wait to see how the other characters actually react to him losing an arm. I just imagine FP feeling helpless because she wouldn't be able to do anything to help him. She doesn't know how to heal.
