According to Wikipedia, a Geisha is an entertainer, more or less a dancer. They're also considered to be prostitutes, however according to movies like Memoirs of a Geisha, they only sell their virginity to become a full Geisha. Of course, I only started researching them tonight, feel free to look them up on wikipedia
