Description

I wanted to try and redesign a character using some of the lessons I learned from character design class, so here's a redesigned 2018 version of Venus. I made her the most magically in tuned turtle out of the others and her abilities are levitation and a little telekinesis which is how she makes her magic chi balls fly. Since all the turtles in the new show are different species of turtle, I made her a diamond back terrapin, which are surprisingly beautiful turtles, which is why she has a literal diamond shaped shell with diamond markings and her weapons of choice are two magic powered tessens that she keeps on her legs which can grow into two giant fans. Because each turtle has special markings except for Raph, I gave her a mix of spots and stripes along with two markings on her chest that make up the shape of a butterfly.

Personality wise, she is very intelligent and loves to read old scroll's and romantic novels and the occasional gossip magazine. She has a very strong sense of intuition which makes her easy to talk to. She has a funny sense of humor and loves to prank Donnie the most. Her flaws are that she may come across as a know it all which can get on peoples nerves and she can have a bit of a temper when she is being messed with which is what Leo likes to do to her to get her attention because of his secret crush on her. She also has a tendency to mock bad guys or people who she thinks are inferior to her. She can get really intense sometimes when she feels that no one is taking a situation seriously.

Her hobbies of course are meditation and she likes writing bad poems in calligraphy on the side. The brother she likes to hangout with the most is Mikey as she thinks he's adorable and loves to have drawing parties with him, much to Leo's jealous dismay and she thinks Raph is pretty cool and likes to beat his score on the dance machine. The brother she fines the most Irritating is Leo as he always likes to ruin her meditation sessions by making faces or poking her until she cracks and she ends up blowing him away with her magic tessen, she doesn't know why he's always extra obnoxious when she's around and wishes he would knock it off and be more real and serious with her because whenever Leo doesn't know she's around she notices that he's actually quite nice and a little charming.

Her origin story is basically the same as before where splinter lost track of her after rescuing the four brothers from an unknown danger and assumed she died which is why the guys never knew about her, but later in the years the guys come across her in the mutant underworld where she was running away from a gang of mutants, the guys of course are shocked to see another turtle like them but Leo saw her as a damsel in distress and took the opportunity to be a hero and swoops in to save her but by the time he got to her she already defeated the mutant gang and Leo was really impressed and tried to charm her with his cheesy one liners which only made her want to role her eyes at him, after which she tries to make her escape but Leo not wanting her to leave just yet grabs her arm and the two have a brief moment but the guys jump in and interrupts them and Venus thinking the guys are part of another mutant gang quickly defeats each of them and gags them with there own masks and ties them upside down on a pipe and before she leaves she turns to Leo winks at him and disappears in a puff of smoke, leaving the guys humiliated and with questions.
