Something that was bound to happen sooner or later.
And yes, I made it way cartoony, with them being in a restaraunt and using their anchors as hands (facial expressions just weren't enough for me). And I got rid of Theodore's red lips thingy, I could draw them in the first attempt, why bother with it now?
I like both, but if I was threatened to choose, I choose TUGS, I mean come on, roaring 20s.

Did you know Dreamworks owns the rights to Theodore? I am surprised they forgot about the show.If revive it the Harbor Master should either be recasted or CGI.

Iām suprised TUGS never caught on. It honestly seems more interesting and I think it deserves to rank up with Thomas.

There was going to be a season two that would've taken place up river and new characters were going to be introduced, but the bankruptcy of TVS, the company that was in charge of producing the series, had prevented it from happening.

(Laughs and runs off maniacally)

This is a humorous take on the whole Tugs vs Theodore thing and their comebacks had me rolling back in laughter!
In my Human!AU I decided to make Ten Cents Thomas's cousin while Theodore is more like that one Canadian friend. And did you know that they are making a TUGS Cgi movie? I think it's fanmade though, but it might come out next year.

i did grew up with both these characters as i watched saltys lighthouse and theodore tugboat when i was 2-4 years old but i prefer Ten Cents in TUGS though

Actually Theodore's the kid being more modern than Ten Cents and is obviously diesel and not steam. TUGS took place in the 1920s and Theodore judging by the look of the characters is more around the present.

There's also the fact that the characters in Theodore are more modern looking boats and ships.

Well, I never saw TUGS like I did Theodore.
But to this day, I can't let go of how much Theodore looks like Little Toot in Toot's 1992 film, especially with the same colored hats and somewhat similar styles.

good point, Ten Cents however also looks like Little Toots apperance in the little known 1948 disney short film adaption. something worth to note about

Although now I like Theodore Tugboat, I did had these kinds of thought a long time ago. Either TUGS is superior to Theodore or the other way. This is very good.

In terms of shows in my POV, Thomas is the best. Jay Jay I guess comes next, then Theodore, and last Tugs. I never did see Tugs, and when I did, it seemed a little too mean and unchild-friendly, compared to all the others.

Tugs looked more convincing than Theodore Tugboat. In TT, you could tell that it was filmed in a pool.

When you think about TC, Theodore, and Thomas are all related because Robert D cardona worked on all three shows. Thomas and TUGS are sister series while Theodore would be a cousin series I guess if that makes sense.

Yeah I thought Theodore Tugboat is alright but its too jazzy for me, when I first watched Salty's Lighthouse back then on Discovery Kids, I didn't know TUGS had a spin off of that show. Now that I've seen the real series I say, TUGS FOREVER!
