A combination of Belkar, from the webcomic Order of the Stick, and Quark, from the television show Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, in the style of Order of the Stick. Made in Inkscape.

This was all kinds of frustrating. As I indicated on my last few Trek deviations, this was before I figured out legs and whatnot. This compounded the difficulty of working with Belkar at all, since he has so little body to use. That I chose to combine him with Quark, who has more complicated clothing than any other significant character in Trek...

This was an entry in the Iron Avatarist: Space Opera competition on the Giant In the Playground forums. My comments with it were as follows:

"This is what I was referring to about Belkar not having enough body. Could I have possibly picked a character with more complicated clothing? I should've gone with Mudd.

"Also, it's hard to show nose-ridges on a person with no nose."
