Aryn is a lone drow who fled the Underdark long ago. She's a very rare example of a drow loner: she was born with bad eyesight and lost it completely by the time she was sixteen. Her blindness allows her to wander the surface without being plagued by the sun but her chosen art of necromancy draws her to the night at any rate. The lack of this sense also led to a heightening of all her other senses, especially her hearing and touch.
Aryn is deeply dedicated to her art, enough she was willing to give up her arm for power in it. She's a cunning, deeply intelligent woman who is more coldly calculating than outright vicious and unlike many drow, she does not cause pain for enjoyment. Her joy comes from her art and she never, never does anything without some sort of purpose and planning behind it. Her circumstances growing up and her condition have made her much more tolerant of males and other races than other drow females. She will use and interact with either when it suits her purposes and will treat them exactly the same.
Her skill with arcane magic and force of personality are her greatest strengths but she can fight relatively well with both her skeletal hand and a sickle if she's forced to.
