First thing that struck me while looking at this deviation was the colors, I find the contrast between the dark blue sky and the soft lights of the clouds very appealing. Not to mention the overall mood of this photo takes us to a soft surreal place, and invites us to start dreaming.
I am not sure if this moon is photo-manipulated, but it says here it is photography, but either ways, I think it is the artist's choice to display the moon like that, and either ways it is of tremendous beauty.
