Yes, Keara had read a book or two on the subject. Fencing, karate, magic, kung fu.....among other, of course. But she never actually did any of it. She understood it perfectly when reading it, how hard could it possibly be?

.....apparently it was quite difficult. She had no idea how to use a sword, she didn't have any offensive magical abilities, and apparently martial arts take years to master? It never took her years to master anything! She had never been so frustrated trying to learn something new in her entire life. Her friends all tried to help her, but she just.....wasn't very good at it. Which was completely humiliating. All she could do was make potions and make things grow. Those were her only abilities. Her grow ability was obviously in relation to her Senshi name (har dee har), but she didn't quite know how to put it to good use yet. She had a few ideas.....maybe she could pack a bunch of useful things in her bag? Like rope? And....oh, what other things would be good? Uh....she could make falling rocks grow and fall on enemies, but what if the others got hurt too?

What was she supposed to do with such an odd ability?? Everyone else can shoot lasers and punch things till they're nothing but dust! Why can't she do that?

She decided to take a walk in the forest so she could try and calm down. She walked through the trees, trying to think of something. She signed as she plopped down on some soft grass. She looked around and spotted a beetle crawling towards her.

"Aw, well lookit ya, wee little thing you are." she said as she picked it up gently and looked at it closely. Suddenly she had an idea, ".......but what if you weren't so little....?"

She set the bug down onto the grass and readied herself.

"Okay wee one, I'm not sure what's going to happen, but it isn't science unless you perform a test...! Grow!!"

She cast the spell on the beetle and it began to grow to a rather startling size.

"I-it worked! Well of course it worked, why wouldn't it work?" She hopped into it's back, "Ahhh I can ride ya like a wee pony!! On with ya, let's see what you can do!"

It was then that Keara decided she was going to start collecting bugs.
