I'm so sorry to hear about your dog! Wow what a terrible situation, you want to let him live but you don't want anyone to get hurt either. Is he protecting you do you think? Too bad you can't find someone who needs a guard dog or has a lot of property he could live on. Have you tried a trainer?
Anyway it's a lovely piece and I sincerely hope you can work things out with your dog.

No, I doubt that he wants to protect me, I am the most attacked one. I think the dog is trying to own me and to be the leader, he is using very aggressive methods.
We called the shelter's dog trainer, she was very shocked and only suggested us to leave the dog alone.

Oh for Pete's sake you can't leave him alone forever!! I think you're right though he is the Alpha dog right now and you can't have that! Do you ever watch The Dog Whisperer? He's fantastic especially with aggressive dogs, maybe you could take a look at his site for some suggestions. I think the shelter has a responsibility to give you a safe dog and should at least help you with him!!

Yes, I watched the Dog Whisperer, that person is really smart. One of my watchers sent me some of these videos but my problem is different. I only learned how to put the dog on the ground when the dog tries to attack other dogs - the dogs in the video calm down, but mine doesn't and I could never handle such a situation alone.
I also read his site, not much help in my situation, again.
The shelter doesn't have any responsibility.. that's the "funny" thing. You'll never believe it, but things are like that in Estonia.
The only help they offered: "You can put an advertisement on the shelter's walls."

Your boyfriend is right the next dog you get will be perfect for you. You'll get a sweet little puppy with no bad traits and that you can raise up to be a wonderful loving dog. I'm just so mad at those shelter people that's SO irresponsible!!!

selle pildi vaatamisel oleneb vΓ€ga palju tujust. Kui ma seda nΓΌΓΌd kolmandat korda vaatan siis i'm in love with it. Mida esimese kahe korra kohta ΓΆelda ei saaks

Mul on sama siin.

I haven't checked the original model photo so I don't know how it look like. But I think you did re-paint her dress, right? It looks like you erase all the details on her the top of the dress ( or maybe I screen is too bright and I can't see them ). The lighting on her right arm, her face and the wolf is a bit unnatural. Anyway, I still love the color you have here. Waiting for your new works.

I added "more" dress but as I look at my image now, I must agree that her dress is too dark, compared to the background.
I suck at lighting
Thank you darling

We have to put him down because he has already attacked 3 people in only 2 days (including me and my friend who has a lot of experience with shelter dogs). I don't want to do this but like my other friend said.. dogs learn only once. I really hope my deviantArt friends and watchers don't start accusing me in murdering the dog or such, because we really tried, very hard, and he's getting worse and worse in hours

Oh, but question... I get someone else took the photo and you're not the model ^^ What did you do? The effect? Coz I see alot of pics in his portfolio that have these "kinds" of effects on 'em... Did you do all of them?
π: 0 β©: 1
Kechake In reply to GothicOnTheLoose [2009-04-27 18:54:43 +0000 UTC]
On some images, I have posted the link to the original. If you are curious, then this image originally looked like this: [link]
So it's not only adding "effects", but making a whole new composition.

I just practise really hard and as often as possible... when I don't open Photoshop for a week, all my blending skills are gone and I have to start out again.
You could start out with simple blending exercises And play with colours. A lot. I wasn't a professional when I started, I'm not a professional even now and I enjoy that I have room to develop even more.
Practice makes perfect Good luck!
