Well, I decided I wanted to do a big, grand piece with all 10 of my characters in a row, 'cause I don't believe I've ever drawn them all together in one place before....um, yeah, I got impatient, and scanned and colored the first 2 when 7 of them aren't even sketched yet.
Here are Derek Clark and Jessica Calvin for now, anyway, and there will be 4 more pairs coming, and probably one big pic of them all together. Someday.

Hmmm, I love the dark shadows on the girl's back leg and her right arm. :'D It adds such a nice sense of space! I also have a thing for the shape of her left arm - it's so rounded and weighty without giving the illusion of her being overweight, but I just love that healthy look about the anatomy.

i loved their "attitude" and edginess - they managed to have one without taking their looks for granted! (i could almost hear the voice of my friend's former advertising professor - "they must have the X-Factor! The X-FACTOR!" LOL!) looking forward for the next pairs! kudos for another great artwork!

Very good artwork. I'm curious to see the other cast members for... Is this a project you're working on? A comic maybe? It sounds like it's a project you are putting some time into and looks like it too. Just curious on that. Oh, and of course adding to my favs. :3

Hopefully someday it'll be a book series. I've got the basic concept well planned out, but I keep changing how I want to approach it (like, what order stuff should go in, and stuff). I've stuck with the idea for a few years, now, and I've come a long way on it, so I'm optimistic about getting the whole thing done someday.

Hey, wow!
You sound a lot like me and the project I've been working on. Since 2002, I've been working on a kind of book/comic kind of series that I've developed the main plotline and characters out for quite a bit, even had them all drawn out and a couple stories already written up. I've pretty optimistic about my project myself, having sent my first story in to a publisher for analyzing and see where it goes from there. (If they will publsih it or start looking for another publisher)
Here's to those of us striving to have book series stuff out there someday. XD

I hope so too. I dunno, the way I write things is different then the average novel style, more novel/script hrbrid I guess, but I send it in anyway with hopes behind it. If I hadn't, I probably would have never made any progress what-so-ever.
Good luck though with yours as well. ^_^ Is it to be a novel, a comic, or both somehow?

It's supposed to be a series of novels, although I do go through a phase every once in a while when I think I would be better off doing a comic book, since I draw the stories so much more than I write them.

That's kinda like me too. My project has so much stuff drawn up for it, it might as well be a comic, especially since its so Japanese animation influenced, but I feel it'd be way more difficult drawing a lot of what I'm working on rather then attempting to write it...describe it. Especially when I have a lot of it involved in NYC as well as an alternate world.
Heck, I notice a lot of projects I've worked on I've always started out doing art for them, drawing characters and scenarios.

lol, I know I have problems with legs. It's like I make the feet and ankles really tiny so I have to make the calves really bulgy to compensate.
