Description
This is my first real project for my animation class and my first real character animation ever! Pretty exciting for somebody who's wanted to be an animator for years.
I had to submit a silent version so as not to violate dA's copyright policy, but I HIGHLY recommend viewing the musical version found here.
I know there are plenty of things that need work but there are a lot of things I'm quite proud of too.

oh the story is simple and cute. the character designs are pretty.
maybe you could try doing this in 2D trad? like hand-draw in-betweens. but FLash does make life a lot easier for animators. and i love the paper texture effects! adds richness to it.
i'm an aspiring animator, too. although we unfortunately don't have animation schools (or even decent classes for it) in the philippines. ah, well. self-study is the way to go...

I'm REALLY hoping I can do some more frame-by-frame hand-drawn animations in the future. There are some very small parts where I drew every frame (like where she's walking and then looks over to the window) and I loooved the result.
The thing is, this is an "Intro to computer animation" class, and the focus is on learning the software, not on developing your animation talents. Self-study is exactly right.
