Somewhat uncaring and standoffish, may come of as rude to most people. Tends to be rather intimidating in the workplace.
For his few friends and family, he can be relaxed, humorous, and surprisingly understanding and generous when not under stress.

Background:
Stef'n grew up in New Asa-Bae (an island city in the north on planet Irk) with his family and trained in the medical field in hopes to one day be a surgeon like his father. At 15, he signed up for the local military and worked as a field medic to gain discipline and experience. For years proved himself to be a good soldier and an even better medic and planned to pursue his dream career as soon as his 6 year enlistment was done. Just before his 20th birthday, he got caught up in a rebellion plot with some fellow soldiers and a family member who had mistakenly assumed that he would willingly participate. Fearing that Stef'n would report them, the rebel group threatened his life and forced him to help steal equipment and supplies in order to escape the planet and join the growing resistance. Before the group could safely get away, they was discovered and most of the group, as well as Stef'n, were taken into custody. Stef'n very adamantly pleaded his case from the moment he was arrested. He was taken to trial and, after a confession from one of the rebel members, was cleared of accusations of treason although he was still to be punished for the part he played in the crime. He was discharged from the military, had his medical license revoked, and was sentenced to prison for 10 years for civil negligence and damaging government property. After only serving 2 years of his sentence, he was let out on parole for exchanging helpful information he learned in his time there as well as for good behavior. He then begrudgingly moved to Irk’s capital city to get away from his past and began schooling to become a Geneticist. After graduating he took on a job as an assistant, and by the age of 30 he opened his own lab and was eventually successful enough to hire his own assistant and earn himself a fierce reputation among his fellow scientists. He now spends most of his days working on projects and experiments at work, and living an otherwise quiet life in a city he hates.
