Description
Commissioned for of her original character Macalla, the Lady of Dornost.

This character was described to me as being a brave and fierce woman that doesn't allow herself to get too close to anyone. Girly things just aren't for her. Normally she wears mainly medieval clothing with lots of leathers and mail, but for this commission we decided to go with a scene where she attends a Midwinter Ball held by the king (who is her enemy). Hence the weapons and hidden daggers in her sleeves.

This one was lots of work, but I enjoyed working on the snowy background and fancy dress. ^^

The title is also rather random, but I figured it would go well with my previous 'Daughter of the Forests' painting, which is why I went with this title.

The background was inspired by some of the gorgeous works of Thomas Kinkade.
