Description
Daz3D / PhotoshopHi all
I find figures with no face creepy (as you would). The concept behind this is these shadowy figures are extracting thoughts, memories and ideas out of peoples heads. It's not a pleasant experience.
The figure is the slim man, with the treatment chair and VR headset. The lighting is an HDRI, godrays and 2 spots. The godrays I played around with to get this look. Everything was rendered as canvases and put together in Photoshop.
Post includes tonal work, some error fixing and I added noise as I wanted a film quality to it.
Thanks for looking

Very creepy. Makes me think on one hand about the "Grey men" mentioned in "Momo", on the other hand about the "Slenderman" urban legends. The creepy creatures praying on emotions and knowledge that they cannot access by themselves, trying to fill their holes up with someone's else's dreams, but never being satisfied. Wonderful concept and perfectly executed.

Ahh, the Slenderman. I do like the concept (I've learned more about it since there is a film coming). There are some creepy pics of him out there. Thank you for the great comments

I learned about him during the "horror stories round" in a chess camp. The guy telling about him was pretty good at it, so for some time we were scared.Β

Hey Mel, I really appreciate that Yeah, I just wanted to make sure everything sat just right in this one, there isn't a lot of content. Working with godrays lets me get away with some creative lighting. Anyway, I'm just trying to get to your standards of work, still a ways to go

I don't think there needs to be a lot of content to make such an impactful image. Β Whatever you're doing keep it up Neil. Β I'm definitely one of your biggest fans in all sincerity. Β I think it's more that I need to get up to your standards of storytelling and presentation with impact. Β Render on my friend.

This one is really creepy in a great way! Besides him being faceless, its definitely his too long fingers that make me freak out
Great concept and excellent executed!

Creepy indeed. A long time ago I remember watching Sapphire and Steel with faceless people (showing my age now), and it's creeped me out ever since Thank you.
