Hey folks

I really wanted to try a space scene, but keep it lit as from one light source and try to emulate the hard shadows seen in space. This allows me to use various lights to highlight the ship in the dark side. The planets are all sphere's with maps on them (thanks Nasa), but the ringed planet and inhabited moon have maps in the luminance channel do give them a glow. The rings were created in Hexagon, and suitable material mixed up to get the desired look (using pearl as a base). Real images were used as reference.

Post work includes the Ion Drive, planet atmospheres around the edge (for the life of me I couldn't work it out in Daz) and colour correction.

This one took a while to do because of all the trial and error, but overall I'm happy with it, but there are things I could improve on.
