haha, remember the poll where i asked you guys if you'd be bothered if i posted my non-furry art?i'm so gonna make you regret clicking the 'i don't mind' button lD
This weekend, before i became ill, i went to an uh, 'open school day', where you can take a peek at
different schools to see how they function, and if it's to your liking.
I went to an art school, and damn i was so impressed with all the games they made!
they looked so very good, 15 times better than most well-rated indiegames!
So i was like OH MY GOSH I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO DO THAT!
So i rounded up a couple of drawings i was proud of
and took my laptop with me, to see if i apply to be accepted.
welp, i totally did not :'D
The sir was impressed with my drawing skills and use of colour,
but he said he needed to see a whole lot more than just that.
So i have half a year to fix a diverse portfolio with a high variety of stuff!
And since i suck at anything that's non-dog related,, i figured i need to start asap :'D
The first two were a source of utter frustration and i'm very very displeased with them,
the third is merely a joke, and i had a lot of fun with the last one!
I'll be recording the next batch i'll make, because progress is also very important to show in a portfolio!

I think the first and last are the best, this is because if how you used the colours to set the sence as well as mood. For example in the first one by using green it is very relaxed where as in the last one, by using grey the mood is rather mysterious and also relaxing// pshh i suck at giving ideas soz

I'll throw my two cents in, a kind of a mini critique. Hope you won't mind
I find the bottom right painting definately the most pleasing. It has nice atmospheric perspective, clearest value separation and relaxing colours. The third also has pleasant palette, but not too much depth. Maybe a lower camera angle to get a bit more perspective out and some grass strands on the front ground. Or add a character, I imagine this would work quite well with some animal playing in there
The first two I think have a bit too much saturated colours in them and not enough dark values. (Maybe I'm just too dark of a person 
Compositionally, the first one has two little things that catch my eye: 1. The tree on the left following the edge of the picture. I'd break the form a bit, maybe let the background go all the way to the edge, or have some branches or mushrooms or whatever to make it not so straight. 2. The path in the middle. It's pretty much the same colour and value from far to close. Everything else in the painting gets darker the closer they are, the path kind of just "stays in the back". And it's also pretty straight, you could hide it a bit more in the bushes to get more depth.
For the mountains I'd say paint different forms. Like on the forest, you did different trees and branches. Not too different, but different enough to be unique and interesting. Also, the clouds are not looking too natural. The colour or thickness or something makes them feel out of place there. I'm bad with clouds, and can't quite put my finger on what's up with these, but they just don't feel like they belong.
Overall, I'd say use the whole value range, and separate background, middleground and the foreground from each other by value to really get depth. Just like you did in the bottom right picture, I think the back- and middlegrounds are well separated, and the main tree trunk goes quite dark up close.

that's way too far away for me,
i've been planning to move in with my boy next year,
and he lives in Leiden, so we'll rent a little house in Utrecht,
so that we're both close to Hilversum and Leiden!
So Breda is out of the question for me,
so i won't visit so i won't know what i miss haha!

I currently live at home with my parents and my boyfriend also wants to study game art at NHTV (we're like twins, we have the same intests, hobbies etc lol)
but they only accept like 200 or so students every year and it's SO tough getting in ugh T_T

I really love the atmosphere of the third one as well, it has something mystical and dark, I love it!
I would really love to apply to an art school as well, but there isn't none where I live and I don't have money.

I really like the greenery scene on the top left. I like the sense of depth that piece has with fore/mid/background, and the golden lighting gives it an ethereal feeling. o:

it's one of my least favourites,
i feel like i didn't do it much justice, there's still so much room for details,
and the contrast isn't to my liking, but it took me already much longer than the other three combined
so i decided to call it a quit!
But i'm glad you see some good points in it,
i've noted them and will take the feedback with me to a next piece!

My backrounds are VERY simple usually.
Like, only trees or a simple colour~ Or mountains, because they're super-easy to draw.

Um.. I don't know about you, but I'm not that kind of a roleplayer..
The ones I do usually look sometheing like :
''Fay's words take Hikaru by suprise, although in a way it's obvious. No one can live alone forever, but say such a thing to /him/ isn't very common."Really?" He half stammers:" Well that would be very cool of you, bro!" Excitement tingling in his chest, he thinks of everything he could do here - and maybe even with Fay. He could go when and where he wants or do what he wants or fly over the valley and most important: †ake the fire. All that, of course, when the mouflon-dude doesn't want to set him up for a trap and slay him in his sleep. He walks to the window and looks outside, searching for the spot where exactly Fay is looking:"So.. er... what exactly are you looking at here?"
That was quite a random example I took from my friends' and my rp.. Meaning that we barely use the *walks* or Tina-sleeps thing. It's more in a narrative form like a story.. Would that be okay with you? C:
When the plot is interesting, I will always reply, so probably it'll mostly be up to you.

ohh,, that's a very good take on an artist!
i've been focusing last year so much on developing my own style,
so i could make money off of my art,
that i kinda forgot how to draw anything else.
And working just for money, i found out, is way too stressfull to continue.
So a short break, trying to fall back in love again with drawing!
ahh i think i've got my head half-way up my ass,
sometimes i need to think too hard to reply to a message and i just-
i can't bring myself to it Dx
and then i feel bad and take even more time to do it
and then i forget about it :'D

I know that feeling well, because
let's be honest, I do that too.
It can be really stressful and the worst part is
