Tonight i had a wonderfull dream,i wanted to paint the landscape in my dream. They were frozen or glass waves, it was so serene β€
I'm pretty proud of this, i did it without tutorials or reference pictures!

I know there's still plenty o' room for improvement,, but it's a step in the right direction!

ahh that's so sad,,

I dreamd that i was on a beach underwater (??)
with very soft grasssand stuff, and there was a dude with watertattoo's with lots of fishies,,
and when i asked him about it, he told me he could open them up and real fish floated out!
So we set them free in the water underwater (???) but then a seal came along and tried to ate them,
so i went with a little girl (no idea where she came from) and a small fishnet and safe the fish!
BUT THEN A FRIGGIN' BEAR CAME OUT OF THE WATER, so i swatted the bear with my little wooden fishnet and dragged
the girl out, and there were some people watching from a big bridge across the underwater ocean :'D
IT WAS SO MAGICAL,, AND THE COLOURS SO BEAUTIFULL <3
i remember every little detail,, i could draw the dudes tattoo's even!
i'm gonna try tomorrow!

what's some good tips for trying to do backgrounds? o:Β

oh gosh,, well i'm usually pretty bad with backgrounds!
What i find most important though, is that the colours are harmonizing
so instead of going for realism, make sure the colours look nice to the eye combined <3
And that shading and lighting makes the background, don't forget that!
