The legs are't too thin. It has a perfect 80's anime look ala Crusher Joe and the like.

Wow.....very cool! Reminds me of this weird idea for a spiderlike robot I was designing...the BDM-113 Underslung. It's for a game a couple of friends and I am designing. Very nice, how long did it take you?

Wicked as hell. Really amazing. Reminds me of some of the art from the mecha artist from Singapore here in dA... just...given form and life. Fantastic modelling and beautiful render. You did good on the lights. It looks as if this baby is actually real. Nice!

Great model. Render it with a good light rig or GI, and you've got a killer poster! I would have a comment; the legs are cool, but physically speaking, they look fragile (too fragile I'd say). It would have been stronger to put the upper section rotated to have more matter over the Y axis -- while keeping the kind of like look to it. Just my two cents

Thanks for the comments and feedback on the defense mech. Yeah I've had a few comments before about the legs being too thin, but others like it like that way too. Just 50-50 I guess. I kept them thin to give it a compact look. Thanks again for the comments.
