This is a mid-progress shot of my final project for 2D. However, I prefer this to the final piece, which has colour to it. ^^';

The project was to display time through a 2D piece (or pieces). I chose to illustrate a Japanese-esque tattoo, and to have each chunk be a different stage of the tattoo. The bottom is the sketch (which is why it isn't inked), the next to be linework, the third to be simple colour and the top to be full colour. Tattoos take a lot of time and thought, so I thought this would be a good representation of 'time'. I'm rather pleased with this outcome of it.

Reference was used for the Koi, as well as several other Japanese tattoos as influence. ^^'
