Whenever I start combining models together, I have nice pictures in my mind, how are they supposed to look like...(imagening this as a result on the left...), and I failed nicely most of the time (imagening this as a result on the right...)Whatever, in real life I really suck, if it's about meshmoding:
Here I separated the body and the arms, than increase the arm size, than combining together again(yeah, I tried to cure the tinny-hand-sickness...^
.Result: lightmap dissapeared from the torso...
Great.. Than add upgraded head (duplicated hair and nice lightmaps) to the body.
Result: only one hair is visible, all lightmap dissapeared...
FCK'YA LIGHTMAPS!!! D8<
A lot of people asked me, share this ME Lightning mod with them, and this is the main reason, why I couldn't... 8(

If I can figure out this whole "how to add lightmaps" thing, I will!

Their not lightmaps... their specular maps.
You'd have to manually re-add them back.

I learned a lot from maps and rendergroups just to figure out, how can I handle this.

OMG this happens to you to I thought I was the
only one it me off because I make it look da sexy then
when I reload her her sexy lightmaps disappear aha. It makes me . I
think this is one thing they need to improve for the next release of XPS. This looks amazing
by the way. Especially the hair

The hair is not special, I only add another hairmesh copy to the haired head!
The problem not just the hair!
The same things happen with the normal head.
I have the upgraded version of Lightning (by Crofty) with lightmaps, and that one almost always cause me some trouble.
Like head don't appear, ater I load the meshmod I made, even it's on the meshpart's list, and headbones are visible....
Now I found an old version Light, that one works perfectly.
I have soo many handy idea for updating the XPS, I'm a hardcore user afteral!

I try to figure out, how can I RE-add lightmaps AFTER meshmoding....

Ahh I see. I tried to make a Lightning Red Riding Hood like
the one you made but when I finished it and saved the mesh, I
reloaded her and she didn't even show up she
was all invisible and stuff, it was really aha. Yeah
IDK why Crofty's new Lightning model doesn't want to
mesh mod...

You mean with the Dark Fairytale model?
That's my next target... but without lightmaps

Very strange but the basics are easy. Most of the tutorials I checked before, a bit messed up.
Maybe I should do a simple one, without the extra sidenotes.
An organised, step-by-step version should be handy

well im trying to get a rough idea of it so far maybe i need to try and understand it more better really its just a bit complicated at first but i should get the hang of it xD
if you want to do a tutorial i would like that, hopefully i'd understand it more better
