Agree, really has some PR-style in it.
However, the mech needs a more distinct outline; all of the Jaegers shown in the movie have very distinct outlines, like Cherno Alpha and Crimson Typhoon.

the zaku's name is the zaku II kai MS-06FZ not a zaku-fs,i had a error on typing.Β
A zaku II kai is more nimble and need's one pilot while a jaeger needs two pilot's to control it which takes more time to get it moving.Β
your jaeger is not made for space while the zaku II kai is made for space combat .Β

Things can't be compared without contexts.
Why would Jaegers be built for space combat when in Pacific Rim the threat is from the ocean. Gundam is older than PR and most MechΒ franchiseΒ obviously, so ?
If it was simply a matter of power, personaly I would just go for the Gurren lagann, you can't beat that thing ~
What I love in Pacific is that Mechs are real mechanical warriors. AsΒ Guillermo del Toro said, what I like to see in a robot is the whole machinery moves while the machine is brought to life.
I'm just closer to military somehow realistic mechs, like Mechwarrior, Hawken, Armored Core, Full Metal Panic or even WarHammer40k.Β
On the contrary to a lot of people, Gundam has never been my cup of tea for some reasons, mechs are supposed to be military assets but they're full of flashy colors and don't show anything mecanical like ... I don't know, just not my stuff

okay you do have a point and i have never try to get mech's to look more machines then color's but i manage to make a mech that took me 3 hours to get done. and Β i would like to hear some things i could work on so i don't make the same mistake.Β

Problem is, the mods to the MS-06FZ cut it's combat by about half. If I had to use a Zeonic suit, I'd use either an MS-14B Gelgoog or an MS-18E Kaempfer, depending on the mission.

true the MS-06FZ was based off the MS-06 Zaku II,but i like the MS-06FZ since it's like a zaku that just got upgraded from looking plane to cool looking and its armed with better weapons then what the zaku II had.Β
