Description

Aka “Strugglebus Maximus”. Aka “I should be more careful about granulating watercolors.”
I had to redo & touch up the dress a dozen times because the blue i used at first granulated & went patchy, then i retouched it with some phtalo blue but it got too dark, then i tried to fix it up with gouache, and it was just a giant strugglebus.
Same story, but less terrible, for the terracotta color for the wings, & her skin. I used some earth colors that just ended up granulating a lot, got patchy, & so i spent a lot more time than i should have on all that….
But hey, i prevailed in the end, & it turned out okay, so that’s what matters ^^'
