That contest has SO many entries, the only way one can possibly stand out is by its background.
There are already so many beautifully designed BGs I knew I had to do something no one else had done yet.
I was trying to be as accurate as possible, but I know it's off in some places.
I was hoping the location I chose would at least get me kudos-points, even if I don't win.
Oh well, here's hopin'

well... at least mine's more accurate...
*feeling really unoriginal now*EDIT2: I didn't win. Didn't even make it to the finals. That part doesn't really bother me because I had fun coloring this pic, but what does bother me is that the only pieces that made it to the finals were CGed. They hardly gave us traditional-medium folks a chance....

i think you'll win... LOL i did it too and i didnt even have a backroundand my scanner messed up what i already did but this is AMAZING... the bg is SO ACCURATE i couldn't draw destiny islands for my life.. geesh and the shading is so perfect... T___T

How could you mistake Sora for Ariel?
They're not even close to looking similar.
Arial has long red hair, and a green fish tail, while Sora has short brown hair and a blue dolphin tail.
How could you have seen Ariel?

no just by the title you chose, I've never gotten into Kingdom Heart so I wouldn't have known where those charators would have came from. Sorry. Anyways I thought that you just did a gay form of the Little Mermaid, and Sora's hair does kind look red...sorry don't be mad at me. It's still a great picture.

i can appreciate its artistic value. the whole thing is amazingly done.
seriously i think some of your Prisma coloring should be a Daily Dev, for how much time, effort, and passion you put into them...
the only thing is i dont care for the scene, because it makes me think of Yaoi, and since going to 2 anime conventions and having to deal with Yaoi obssessed crazed fan girls...i really do hate it..
but again, i can appreciate the amount of work you did, and how amazing it looks

yeah, it is a bit yaoi-ish, but I really only wanted to color it because of Sora's tail.
And then when I found out was having a contest with this, I had to take it a step further.
