My entry for the “TOMB RAIDER CARD DESIGN” contest run byOh god, I can sleep now. This was a few days work combining Photoshop, Corel Painter, XnaLara, TR2Prj and WadMerger. I wanted to make a set of cards that looked like they could have been relics found in the game. If Atlantis was the foundation upon which all civilizations are built, then maybe they had the first playing cards. I wanted to be true to the weird, grotesque Atlantean style so each card is bordered by gold and stone but inside is the fleshy tissue that makes up much of the Pyramid's interior. Each card is a living, bony, muscley, tendony, icky specimen.
Now I need to go put my hand in a cooler and catch up on some sleep!

Thank you very much! I always preferred the original torso boss to the Anniversary version, but I preferred Anniversary's Atlantean God designs to the original coneheads so I decided to mix and match.

Yeah the Torso Boss from the first game was always a particularly strong memory for me because he scared the hell out of me as a kid! The first time he scooped me up and bashed me off the ground as a kid traumatized me! Haha!

College has kept me pretty busy over the last few years but now that I've graduated, I'm devoting myself back to my painting. I never get tired of painting TR stuff and it's a great way to get motivated.
