Brilliant...an image with such a magnified message which seems prominent to be sustained with the meaning that every individual is arranging in their mind...love it...to head up...

This is a fantastic photo... as soon as I saw this, I knew it was taken in Chernobyl too- it's iconic. Although (as far as I'm aware) these masks were strewn like this for staged photos years ago, they still have such a massive impact and really make you think. Gas masks always have a certain effect on people, and what could be more provocative than a floor littered with gas masks intended to have been worn by children? The monochrome effect and focus make this stand out, it's very well constructed. The mask in the centre seems to 'look' back at you.
