Description
Spheres are created from clear casting resin with transparent pigments. Casting is performed in sequences of fractures with recastings of the Sphere till the desired sculpture is achieved. The external sculpting of removed pieces or cut lenses invites the viewer to experience the Sphere from a different perception. The Spheres utilise light through transmitted colour which creates abstract shapes and multiple viewing angles. This all combines to form internal, intricate sculptures. The artist invites the observer to create their own opinion on what they see within the Sphere, how it affects them and what they perceive.
All spheres here are for sale unless other wise stated - email: spheres@bigpond.com for prices and enquiries.

I see a snowy mountain range.
I find the many variances of opinions on the image fascinating. I wonder what pschological differences cause these kind of interpretations?

I see an icy tundra laced with terra cotta-colored soil. Next to it there's a lake that was frozen into solid ice, but began to crack. It's noon, so the water looks reddish as well.
Awesome picture.

Beautiful! I've never seen resin come out that clear (at least, resin that regular people have done, not mass-produced pieces). Fabulous job, and the idea of the viewing piece is amazing as well!
