Inspired by the art of Crash McCreery, I did a creature drawing in pencil. Original picture was in a sketchbook. I scanned the drawing, overlaid a rough texture on top, and added some highlights in Photoshop. The original drawing had been done when I was in college, during downtime in a black and white photography course. In between waiting for photos to develop, I'd sit a desk in doodle in a sketchbook. Needless to say, when you're developing lots of photos via a massive photo developing machine, there's lots of downtime.
