Description Finally I have finished Angel Guilo from Frank E. Perettis great novel "This Present Darkness". I always draw one angel within a year. Reference was a foto of a good friends body. He wanted to be the reference of this angel, because he love the book as much as I do. Surely i have modificated the one or other part of his body, coz Guilo has a very strong presence in the book.
The "feather thing" of the wings was a hard one to draw. I hope, you like the outcome.

AND btw actually angels have no gender. It is just a human imagination (wish). The guys want to have sexy female angels and the girls male angels. Ithink that needs no explaining .
And not all angels have wings. Sometimes the People are more occupied with fantasizing than with searching for what is true.

Do you know the context of this few words? It is the only place, where this words are mentioned. And it is not exactly clear whether these where angels or some other humans. It is one theological interpretation. In this context a very high discussed interpretation. And you should not forget, that the original text is in hebrew. Written a thousand years ago. No other place in the bible call angels sons (gender: male) of God. Angels are spirits, so how can you know what they exactly are? We just interpret. The only real "Son" (the picture of the invisible God) is Jesus.

Vielen Dank! Ich werde aber wohl so schnell nicht mehr so detailsgetreue FlΓΌgel zeichnen...die waren anstrengend und zeitraubend. Die meisten KΓΌnstler deuten FlΓΌgel deshalb nur an, weil es eine Zeit-und kKostenfrage ist.

Those books are very old, so it is understandable, that not many read them. Plus - it is a christian novel. Not everyone likes to read that kind of literature.

Triskal is also my favourite. But this artwork is completely traditional. I have read both books and I am still fascinated about the stories!
