Maybe I'll give in one day. At the moment, I just don't see the appeal of it all. Is it the characters? Or is it plot? Or is it primarily shipping?

I can see why most people would try to avoid it.
I think the reason most people don't give it a chance is because of the overly obsessive fanbase. people in the HS fanbase are just simply INSANE. and pester people to give it a chance.
sure, I like to ship a bit here and there, but I rather not spend all my artistic skill drawing only HS smut.
HS is a VERY difficult thing to get into. I didn't find it all that great at first either. I found it was very boring. but I found later on in the story, it gets absolutely INCREDIBLE. the art becomes to bright, there are amazing animations in-between chapters, the music is super addicting and original.
the the plot is INSANE. sometimes I don't even understand it at times. 8I there is a shit load of text, and at the moment, almost 7 thousand pages! and it's STILL not done!
but really, it's simple something that people love or hate.
it takes a LOT of patience if you want to get to the good parts.
