Description
This was initially done as a sketch to kill time while waiting for jury service in the court. The sketch of 3 redheads (the same model) was done in a 2.5 hour period. Then it evolved into this finished piece.I was considering using colored pencils since the red hair is so attractive. However, I like the flexibility with graphite more and more delicate details with graphite anyway.
I can definitely spend more time and on this. As someone said, "A painting (drawing) is never finished. You just leave it when you get the most out of it." I had fun with this and feel good about the result. I'll leave it for now.
Fave/Like/Share. I would love to hear your feedback about my work so I can improve in the future. Thank you!

How do you draw hair so perfectly... It just murders the picture every time I try.

First you observe and divide the hair into group of shades (light and dark. Then you pull your pencil stroke from dark to light in batch of V's. After a few layers, I use a brush to soften the tone and use a kneaded eraser to pull out some highlights. I repeat the process until I see a satisfying result.
By the way, to avoid overworking, I use a softer pencil such as a 2B for drawing hair. Check out "5 Pencil Method" on Youtube, they have some good tips on drawing hair and other stuff.

I'm sure you've already seen the ballpoint drawing of this same model. It is probably the most well-known biro work on DA. [link]

This is beautifully done. I love the detail in the hair, and the fine highlights, especially on the lips. I'm very glad you chose to maintain the image in pencil, although I must admit I'd love to see this redhead for real ...

Yes, a colored drawing/painting would be fun to do. I'll find a chance to do so in the future, probably from another reference.

Yes, Kelvin. Her name means "love". Names are not translated. For example, my name means "faith". You can write as Liubov or Lyubov, two versions are correct
Mainly foreigners always say that Russian/Ukrainian ladies are very beautiful, don't know why

Haha, I know. It's just direct translatiion with Google. It would be cool to learn the Russian alphabet.
Yes, I think the features of Russian/Ukrainian ladies are very deep and beautiful. Maybe you just get too use to looking at it and didn't realize how beautiful you all are. Hehe.
