Description
This is my first attempt drawing a big cat with colored pencil. Colored pencils are not very forgiving so drawing fur/hair is more challenging and less flexible than graphite. I some how managed to draw around the whiskers with a little help of an electric eraser. Again, the electric eraser only remove a limited amount of color. As for the composition, the eyes should be the focal point, so I cut out all the distraction and left with this close-up. "Bam! In your face!" that kind of feel.
The fur texture was created by colored pencil strokes alone. The OMS solvent was applied lightly to intensify the color satuation. Heavy application with solvent is likely to killl the texture.
Let me know what you think. Fave/Comment/Like. Thanks!

I absolutely adore his eyes...they're just so deep and thoughtful and the reflections in them are just perfect. The amount of detail in the fur is amazing as well...you've done very well with coloured pencils, especially since they are not a very easy medium to work with Love it!
