Very nicely done! I find a lot of macro pictures this close have such tiny depth of focus, but you've handled it quite nicely. The details and lighting are really fun.

Yes, the twin set is quite expensive, but I tried Nikon's ring flash at first, and wasn't too happy with it. It produced no shadows at all and the pictures looked rather flat. But perhaps it's just a matter of experimenting and trying out some adjustments.

The twin set is very versatile and flexible. And it's wireless. You don't even have to mount it on your camera lens, but can position it where ever you like. It's like a mini studio

Fantastic macro photo, it's one of the best I have seen! I'm saving up for a 100mm, extension tube and ring flash, been viewing/researching everything I can on macro in the meantime.

Thanks very much Just took a quick look at your gallery. Your drawings are absolutely incredible. I'll take a closer look as soon as I have a little time. If you have the same patience for photography as you have for drawing, you'll surely do some nice macros as well, once you get your equipment. Thank a lot for the fav, by the way
