Might be related, but these are much smaller. I had to use an extension tube to fill out the frame

nice ......I have extension tubes that I just HAD to have.......think I used them 2 times.....I really need to make more time to use all my equipmentΒ

Sure you should. I mostly use a single, short extension tube (12mm) to get a little closer

Ill bring myself to find them soon......Ill keep the 12mm in mind.....I think when I used them I was a bit discourage because they did not produce the sharpness I so like..

I use a tripod whenever I can, but often it's enough to switch on Vibration Reduction (VR) on the lens if that's available to you. The above image was taken handheld at a low shutter speed (1/50 sec), but still reasonably sharp.

indeed it is......on my camera its image stabilization and I always keep it on unless I use a tripod , I turn it off......Ill go out tomorrow and try it withΒ just the 12mm.......not sure y Im opposed with sharpness.......Β
