Description
Category: Abstract & SurrealI've been wanting to do this for a long time and yesterday I finally got the chance. However, since the train was moving rather slowly, the effect didn't come out as strongly as I had hoped for, so I added a little Motion Blur in Photoshop to increase the feeling of speed. Hope you like it anyway

In 5th century BC Greece, Antiphon the Sophist, in a fragment preserved from his chief work On Truth, held that: "Time is not a reality (hypostasis), but a concept (noêma) or a measure (metron)."Parmenides went further, maintaining that time, motion, and change were illusions, leading to the paradoxes of his follower Zeno.Time as an illusion is also a common theme in Buddhist thought. These arguments often center around what it means for something to be "unreal". Modern physicists generally consider time to be as "real" as space,

Thanks very much for your comment. Time is indeed an interesting subject, and perhaps our most precious gift. But unfortunately, we have also become slaves of time and never seem to have enough to do all the things we would like to do.

May I ask you how did you make this? Where did you place your camera, etc...
This looks so great!

Thanks very much. I was standing in the back of the train and used a slow shutter speed. The camera was on a tripod. Hope that helps

Great shot again. I am wondering if you you had a window between the camera and what we see here?

Thanks, Alban. I was on a short trip to a neighbouring town on a very old veteran train, driven by a steam engine. At the rear wagon was a small outdoor balcony, where I put up the tripod, so there was no glass involved. The pictures looked good when viewed on the camera's monitor, but when I got home, I realised that the train had either moved too slowly or I had used too fast a shutter speed. Anyway, I think the final result isn't too bad

Nice, and I agree, the final result is good, beautiful colors and nice movement. I have never taken a train ride with such an old one.

Great picture! The longer I look at it the more I get the feeling I am really moving towards these lights in the background. Although there is so much blurr, the rails appear to stay static. Really well done!

Thanks very much. The train was actually moving away from the lights in the background Anyway, glad you like it
