Makes me think about my budgie. She died in 2013. 8 years old. Still miss her.

Hey are such awesome pets! <3

Aww! That's so sad!!

My little budgiegirl died from a stroke I think. She suddenly fell down into the bottom of her cage while having epileptic-like seizures. The first lasted for about a half hour before she exhaustedly returned to normal after resting for a while, she started eating and wanted to play gain. The next day she got another seizure, so we took her to the vet. She still had it on our way to the vet and it finally stopped when whe got there. (Lasted for 1 hour). Again, she was exhausted as the vet examined her. She seemed paralyzed on one side, leaning slighly to the right with her right eye "lazy". Her left side was all normal. The vet suggested to put her to sleep. Which I agreed, since she would most likely die if she got more seizures. And I didn't want her to suffer to death. She had a good life, though. You can read her story in the description of her picture.

Like you said, it was very quiet after she was gone. But just weeks before, we had bought a puppy. Which cheered me up. But still I miss her since we were so close. She thought I was a male bird. (lol) More a dog than a bird to be exact: Haha! <3

Sorry for miss-spellings. English is not my first language! X)

They are! <3

Sadly he died earlier last year, about the same age. But he had some sort of infection, we tried lots of things, nothing we got from the vets would work. Fortunately it wasn't 100% debilitating for him, he'd have good days most of the time with the odd bad day.

Whenever I enter a house that doesn't have a budgie; things are just too quiet, I need someone to make stupid noises to. ^^

Yes I have too; they all have unique personalities. This one here has this awesome cute thing he loves to do, where he wants to rub his face all over yours. I've never had another budgie do that, and I probably never will. My others however have also had their unique quirks.

Aw, that's sweet. I had one that was friendly and my best talking bird I have ever had. He spoke very clearly and combined words into real sentences. I lost him years ago to old age and still miss him so much. I had another one that walked like a soldier with his little feet up in the air. Never seen another one do that.

Aww, this guy talks a lot. Nothing like long sentences, but he knows a lot of words and sometimes combines them to come up with new ones; eg. "Daft Budgie" became "Dodgy budgie"

My last one NEVER talked at all, but he was very very friendly and used to fly to your shoulder as soon as you entered the room and stay there for hours. Hardly flew either. He used to do a funny thing with his feet; where he'd put one on your finger but not jump onto it, he'd just hold on to you for ages and chatter to himself. XD

Budgies are awesome.

That's great he talks. Budgies can learn to talk if you get a young male and have him by himself so he only learns from you. That's great he says that makes up his own words. But personality is more important than talking ability. Your friend budgie sounds great. Yes they are awesome! That's why my motto on my main page is "Budgies are best".

That must be what he's thinking, but when his chosen mate is a TV remote sometimes you've got to worry!

I honestly don't know how I coped with my last tablet; it's very old and was like drawing on a destabilised washing machine. Bamboo is soo smooth!

Budgies are indeed awesome!
