Update
Ok this is a really sloppy colored version of this image, I was bored and really just wanted to color with markers so this is my excuse. This is not ment to be a pretty coloring job, just a color test. Eventually I put a nice finished colored piece complete with background. The thin band along the edge of his ear, is actually going to be rust instead of green, I think it will look better and add a nice bit of contrast. His horn color is a bit off, it is suppose to be similar to a burnished/tarnished gold but it scanned orange in photoshop and I tried to touch it up. I didn't really seem to want to work.

His coloration break down is:

Body - Emerald green
Eyes - gold
Mane - russet/rusty red lighter at the root then at the tip.
Wings - green and russet/rusty red
Horns - burnished/tarnished gold

This is Min`Nye a young Kyth Draythyon like Shin-Ti and yes he is carrying Coldfire. This image was an exercise to try and figure out exactly how this young Kyth looks and I figured I'd just turn it into a scene from Chapter 1 of Bindings of the World: Winged Child This image is going to be added to my list of must be finished, meaning inked and colored. I have a few issues in this drawing that I will be fixing, issues that are dealing with the width of Min`Nye's body in places.

Ok I figured I'll add a little bit of information on Kyth for any who are curious.

Basic Info

Name: Kyth
Species: Draconigena (Dragon – Born)
Sub-Species: Draythyon
Family: Mammalian

Kyth Draythyon never stop growing throughout their entire life span.

All Kyth are born with wings, though they are slow to develop and usually are not truly functional till the Kyth has surpassed 300ft in lenght. Most young Kyth will keep their wings tucked close to their bodies or along their leg joints when moving about to keep from damaging them.
