Description
Well I have spent several weeks looking for this ellusive drawing Hi Handsome to no avail. But have no fear I have already solved that dilema since I have been wanting to work on this image for a while now and I have the time. Which brings me to this image. Quick drawing inked with Micron pens colored with Prismacolor markers and a few generics. Here's the issue, I need some opinions, the dark shadows I'm worried that the coloration is too dark for his fair cream fur. Opinions, suggestions?
Here's the colors I used.
Fur:
Base - Cream
Dark Shadows - Blond Wood
Light shadows - Eggshell
Hair:
Shadow - Brick Beige and a few hints of Eggshell
I guess what I'm asking is should I skip using the Blond Wood save for really dark shadows and see what I can come up with with some of the other light colors that I have?
This image will eventually be moved into scraps.

Okay you know me hon'... not enough dark shadows... at least not with out a background refferance. Or rather... not enough flow from one type of shadow to the next. It is like here is the lighter color than boom there is the dark even though there seems to be no refferance for where the shadow is coming from. I know aI am not making much sense here. The shadows on the hair are great though... especially behind the ear... it flows perefectly very blended very natual.

Thanks for the comment, I think I have a way to fix the flow of blending from light shadows to dark shadows with a bit more layering of colors. I guess I'll just have to do a few more tests

Have you thought about trying a blednign marker?
I don't think the colors look bad. The shadows on his neck just look a bit thick.

I haven't had a chance to pick one up? Have you used them and how are they? I'm waiting for the dumb things to go back on sale Since I need a whole host of markers yet again. Thanks for the comment, yeah some of the shadowed areas may be a little think, I was being a bit sloppy

It was just a thought. Yeah, I have the set of forty-eight. (I think it's a lot and cost a good som) Then some of the cool greys. Still need more. I have a friend who pretty much swears by them and she does really good work. I really like them myself. Much smoother than the cheapies esp if you use something heavier than regular sketch paper. They do blend nicely too.
